Service Description
Wednesday, July 23rd & Thursday, July 24th 10:30am - 3:00pm $325.00 Join us for a 2-day workshop that is designed to introduce or reintroduce you to the vibrant world of acrylic painting. Whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or returning to painting after a break, this workshop offers a supportive, creative space to build your skills and confidence. You’ll begin by exploring the unique properties of acrylic paints, including the wide range of mediums available to alter texture, transparency, and drying time. Barbara will provide an overview of essential tools and materials, helping you understand how each contributes to the painting process. From there, you'll move step-by-step through the creation of a fully realized painting. Topics will include laying in a composition, mixing and blending colors, building up layers, and using both brushes and alternative tools to explore texture and expression. Along the way, Barbara will offer demonstrations, one-on-one feedback, and creative guidance tailored to your individual goals and experience level. This workshop is not only a great introduction for beginners but also an excellent refresher for more experienced artists who want to reconnect with foundational techniques or try new approaches with acrylics. Pack a lunch to enjoy during a mid-session break. All participants receive a student discount on supplies at the Golden Eagle Art Store.
